Starbucks, 565 W. South Boulder Road< This event by the Lafayette Police Department is part of a national initiative. It encourages interaction between local law enforcement and community. This annual event offers an opportunity to rub elbows with police officers, ask questions, and address concerns. It’s also a great way to get an insider view on law enforcement, build trust, and of course, enjoy a great cup of coffee.

7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
WOW! Children’s Museum, 110 N. Harrison Ave
This adult-only fundraiser lets the big people play like children and raise funds for this worthwhile non-profit organization. The event features local beer and BBQ and you’re sure to have plenty of fun.
The museum already serves over 90,000 families annually, and hopes to raise additional money to actively expand their programming.

4:00PM – 6:00 PM
Keeps the children safe and enjoy a great night of trick-or-treating in Downtown Lafayette. The route runs from Mt. Diablo Blvd. from Plaza Way to Dewing Ave, Lafayette Circle and throughout La Fiesta Square.
A parent or guardian should accompany children. Bring a bag to collect the goodies, and don’t forget the free balloon.

This free event offers an opportunity to dispose of unwanted, potentially dangerous drugs from your home. It’s part of a national initiative and conducted by the Lafayette Police Department.
Police officers can’t accept items such as mercury thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy or radioactive substances, pressurized canisters, needles, or illicit drugs.
While you’re at it, go through the filing cabinets and drawers and bring any unwanted personally identifiable documents to the event. You’re limited to 3 bags or boxes, excluding magazines, catalogues, phone books, and magazines.

This year, the Lafayette community combines three great events into an even greater Fall Festival. Enjoy one, or all these events including the Great Pumpkin Race, the Lions Club Pumpkin Decorating Contest, and the Window Painting Awards.
This is an all-ages event. Launch your pumpkin in the lazy river hoping to win a prize. Use your decorating skills to craft the scariest pumpkin, and then face the judges and try to win an award.
Better yet, showcase your talent on a large Lafayette business window. Choose a Halloween, Día de los Muertos, or fall theme, bring your acrylic paints, and follow the instructions provided. You’ll need to do your best, since the judges are Lafayette local artists!
